US markets end slightly higher after reports on housing and manufacturing indicate the ecomony continues to slowly grow. Investors are expected to look to tomorrow's payrolls figures to set the tone for the rest of the month.

Major world markets posted mostly higher results for Thursday. Frankfurt's DAX closed with no measurable change today and Paris' CAC finished up 0.21%, Japan's Nikkei 225 was up 1.52%, Hong Kong's
Hang Seng closed up 1.19%, and Sydney's All Ordinaries Index finished up 0.80%.
